This is your weekly chance to hang out, try new activities, and enter our monthly raffle. Bonus points for creativity, functionality, style (and being school-appropriate)* Oct. 26 - Boulder Flash Comp: You'll get three attempts to finish a new bouldering problem. Earn extra raffle tickets for completing the routes successfully!November* Nov. 2 - Harness Charms: Create and swap small, clip-on items with other climbers to decorate your harness and connect with the community.* Nov. 9 - Swap Shop: Bring gently used outdoor or climbing gear to trade with others.* Nov. 16 - Sasquatch Challenge: Can you send a route with giant Sasquatch hands and feet? Put your skills to the test and earn raffle entries for completing the challenge.* Nov. 23 - Boulder Flash Comp: You'll get 3 attempts to finish a new bouldering problem. The RWC offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (most participants can complete this in approximately 2 hours) and an instructor-led class skills session (approximately two hours long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session.Each participant who successfully completes the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate in Adult First Aid, CPR with AED. Experience all that yoga has to offer under the night sky at the RWC Green Space, next to Chick-Fil-A. Strengthen, stretch, align the body and increase flexibility using continuous flowing movements. Yoga helps relieve physical, mental, and emotional stress, and seeks to bring out the best in you. Please bring a mat or towel if able and water. AboutOutdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced scuba dive outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.Upon successful completion of this course and check-out dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.Cost The total cost of the certification is $320 with $40 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.ScheduleIn order for the participant to receive the SCUBA certification, they must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend encompasses classroom work and practice dives in the pool. Normally, the first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. For the second weekend, our instructor will pick either Saturday or Sunday to complete the Open Water Dives.
