- Jun 1912:30 PMSummer Flute & Piccolo InstituteUCF's Summer Flute & Piccolo Institute is a one-week intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists through an interesting and cultivating curriculum that examines many aspects of flute and piccolo performance.Each member will be placed in a flute choir, including full instrumentation (Piccolo, C flute, Alto flute, Bass flute and Contrabass flute) that will help flute students to read repertory, develop intonation, rhythm, and ensemble skills. Daily master-classes and individual coaching appointments provide continual and concentrated input from faculty. Flute choir, small ensembles, and private instruction are grouped according to the level of advancement. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will give classes to the students. Additional guest artists and faculty will also be involved throughout the event.The UCF Percussion Summer Institute is intended for advanced high school and college percussionists. Typically, participants are rising juniors or seniors in high school or college-age students.
