This year's program includes scenes from Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore", Nicolai's "The Merry Wives of Windsor", Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel", Mozart's "Don Giovanni", and Verdi's "Nabucco".Every fall semester, the students enrolled in UCF's Opera Workshop class are assigned scenes to study, memorize, and prepare for this annual event. This year we have 16 students in the class - many of them are new students at UCF - and they are excited about singing/acting for you. We have four performances from which to choose - two on Sunday, November 9 and two on Saturday, November 15. The venue is on the main UCF campus in the "Rehearsal Hall Auditorium".The Rehearsal Hall Auditorium only seats about 90-100 guests, so please purchase your ticket(s) ahead of time to assure a seat. "Spanish Cinema Now" is a touring film series that showcases contemporary Spanish films to audiences in the US, co-presented by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain and the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Central Florida. The series presents a diverse range of films from both established and emerging Spanish filmmakers, highlighting the current talent and different styles within the country's cinema. The RWC offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (most participants can complete this in approximately 2 hours) and an instructor-led class skills session (approximately two hours long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session.Each participant who successfully completes the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate in Adult First Aid, CPR with AED.
