Faculty Seminars in Online Teaching: Integrity in Online Assessments

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 2:00–2:45 PM
  • Location
Faculty Multimedia Center, Classroom Building 1: Room 201
  • Description
How can you foster academic integrity in your online courses? Join us to discover strategies to reduce the motivation and opportunity for cheating, leverage AI for learning, and use academic integrity tools judiciously.

Our first session laid the foundation by exploring the meaning, purpose, uses, and principles of assessment. In this second session, we will address a pressing concern for many instructors: how to support academic integrity in online courses.

Join us for an engaging seminar that explores:

    * how to reduce the motivation and opportunity for cheating in online assessments.
    * how to leverage AI tools to enhance learning rather than enable dishonesty.
    * how to effectively and ethically use academic integrity tools within Webcourses@UCF.

Faculty Seminars in Online Teaching are stand-alone seminars that provide a space for collegial dialogue around best practices in online teaching. Co-presented by the Center for Distributed Learning and UCF teaching faculty, Faculty Seminars in Online Teaching are designed as ongoing professional development for online instructors following IDL6543. However, all members of the UCF community with an interest in online teaching are welcome to participate.
