What To Bring
We recommend all Orientation attendees (students and families) bring the following items to help them have the best Orientation experience:
- Umbrella and/or raincoat
- Photo ID
- Notepad and pencil (there’s lots to learn and remember!)
- Jacket or sweater (our spaces can get chilly!)
- Any documents you need in order to complete any campus business
- For students only: a laptop or tablet (Computer labs on campus are in high demand and space is limited. Don't worry, we'll take care of this part for students by coordinating a specific time during Orientation for them to go register for classes with their Academic Success Coach(es). But, we strongly encourage them to bring a laptop or tablet for course registration. This will help reduce wait times for computers on campus and would also help them feel comfortable using their own personal device on campus.)
- For FTIC students who opted into overnight accommodations (only offered in May, June, & July), also plan to bring: Extra-long twin sheets (80-inch sheets), a pillow, a bath towel, a hand towel, hand soap, and any standard personal toiletries.
We also recommend that attendees wear comfortable shoes and clothing – you’re about to have a busy experience!
