If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.Pre-Trip Date & Time: 5/29/24 - 6 p.m.Trip Description: We've all seen the beautiful sunsets that Orlando has to offer, but have you ever enjoyed one from the seat of a kayak in one of our urban lakes? Join Outdoor Adventure (OA) as we explore the scenic Winter Park Chain of Lakes, located right outside of Downtown Orlando. The Chain of Lakes connects six lakes through navigable canals, and each one is full of exotic plants, historic homes and plenty of local fauna.What's Included: Transportation is included! All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders.What's Not Included: Food is not included on this trip. Please bring your own snacks. A full packing list will be provided at the pre-trip meeting. - Jun 6–8Open Water Scuba CertificationAboutOutdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced scuba dive outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.Upon successful completion of this course and check-out dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required, however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.Cost The total cost of the certification is $320 with $40 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.ScheduleIn order for the participant to receive the SCUBA certification, they must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend encompasses classroom work and practice dives in the pool. The first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. For the second weekend, Ranger Rick will pick either Saturday or Sunday to complete the Open Water Dives.
