If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.Pre-Trip Date & Time: 6/13/24 - 6 p.m.Trip Description: If you want to paddle through mangrove tunnels, no need to travel to The Everglades -- Banana River is one of the most extensive network of mangrove tunnels in Florida! We'll spend the day exploring the 1000 Islands Conservation Area near Cocoa Beach from the comfort of stand-up paddleboards (though we usually prefer to sit!).What's Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including paddleboards, PFDs, etc), transportation to/from the activity and professional guidance by Outdoor Adventure Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders.What's Not Included: Participants should wear athletic clothing and appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. Meals are not provided. The Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (approximately two to three hours long) and an instructor-led class skills session (approximately two hours long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session. To register for this class, please call 407-823-2408, or walk in to the RWC Administrative Office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and someone will assist you.
