The UCF Recreation and Wellness Center, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida Officials Association, will be offering the 29th Annual Basketball Officiating Class. This class is designed to train officials in the proper rules and mechanics needed to officiate at the high school level and beyond. Qualified officials will teach it from the local high school associations, various college conferences and professional leagues, including the NBA.When: Class begins Tuesday, August 26, and takes place from 6:00-10:00 PM, and will continue every Tuesday until October 21.Class Format: Class will meet each night in the Recreation and Wellness Center, Room 206. Join George Weremchuk, professor of Saxophone at UCF, in recital. Weremchuk has performed and recorded with groups such as the New World Symphony and Sam Rivers Rivbea Orchestra. He has performed at jazz festivals across the globe including Chicago, Portugal, London, and New York.
