As part of the Latin American Film Festival, we're thrilled to host a [student video competition](https://sciences.ucf.edu/politics/lalax-student-video-competition/) that celebrates the diverse experiences of the Latin American community. Students are invited to submit short films -- fiction or non-fiction, in any genre - that explore these stories in creative and compelling ways.Finalists will be screened during the festival, and attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite, making this an exciting, interactive event that highlights UCF's student talent and cultural engagement. Join George Weremchuk, professor of Saxophone at UCF, in recital. Weremchuk has performed and recorded with groups such as the New World Symphony and Sam Rivers Rivbea Orchestra. He has performed at jazz festivals across the globe including Chicago, Portugal, London, and New York.
