The library is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
- Apr 178:30 AMDowntown Volunteer Opportunity: 910 Food DistributionThis monthly food distribution event is a volunteering opportunity that occurs on the third Thursday of every month at the 910 Livingston Street Church of God about a block and half from UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown.The entire volunteer opportunity is from 8:30am-1:00pm. There are 2 volunteer shifts: 8:30am-11:00am and 10:30am-1:00pm. Volunteers may sign up for one or both shifts (link below).Volunteers will be expected to assist with setup and teardown, breakdown and repackage food for distribution, and assist with loading patron's vehicles.*If all 20 spots are filled, you are still able to come volunteer. - Apr 1712:00 PMThe Unveiling - Memories in the Seams Collaborative Project -TalkThe UnionWest Gallery at Valencia Downtown is hosting an exhibition featuring Professor Na'ah Gordon's artwork and the debut of the 2025 Spring Arts Week Collaborative Student Reflection Art Project.See large-scale, handcrafted portraits of Gordon's family, constructed with found fabric and thread. These works explore faith, family, and identity through recreated photos, music, and garment making, preserving memories and personal history. Gordon will present an artist talk from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.See the collaborative project created by our Downtown campus students. This is the last opportunity for visitors to visually harness their memories by making their mark on the memory project (art supplies provided).
