- Mar 66:00 PMKent Family Speaker Series Presents: Lessons from Case Studies in Forensic Anthropology by Douglas Ubelaker, Ph.D.In this guest lecture, Douglas Ubelaker, Ph.D., will present case studies that reflect the diversity of applications in forensic anthropology and discuss how the relevant science has evolved in recent years.Ubelaker is a forensic anthropologist and a curator for the Smithsonian Institution. His extensive research in anthropology focuses on human skeletal biology, as well as methods and techniques in forensic anthropology. When not consulting on forensic cases, Ubelaker does a variety of research on the paleopathology, paleodemography and osteology of ancient populations.This event will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in Teaching Academy Room 117, as well as over Zoom.
