This is not an introduction to government contracting for the 'faint of heart'. This is a 2.5 to 3.0 hour training session designed to help two groups of business: (1) those just exploring or brand new to government contracting and (2) those down the path a bit looking to backfill some gaps. You can join late or leave early and still learn something about government contracting but for those that stick around for the whole program will receive a practical, frank, overview of the government contracting process. In this guest lecture, Douglas Ubelaker, Ph.D., will present case studies that reflect the diversity of applications in forensic anthropology and discuss how the relevant science has evolved in recent years.Ubelaker is a forensic anthropologist and a curator for the Smithsonian Institution. His extensive research in anthropology focuses on human skeletal biology, as well as methods and techniques in forensic anthropology. When not consulting on forensic cases, Ubelaker does a variety of research on the paleopathology, paleodemography and osteology of ancient populations.This event will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in Teaching Academy Room 117, as well as over Zoom.
