Triathlon Training (Small Group Training)
This six-week small group training program will prepare participants for the Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Sprint Triathlon (swim 1/4-mile, bike 12.5 miles, run 3.1 miles) on April 13. There is a bike requirement for the race, but not for the training. Both new and veteran triathletes are welcome; however, previous fitness experience is recommended. The small group training cost is $50. Mighty Knights Self-Defense
This course -- taught by UCF police officers who are experienced and knowledgeable about personal safety and threat awareness -- primarily focuses on topics of mindset, preparation and awareness, but also demonstrates basic physical defense techniques. Our courses are designed to provide attendees with information, tactics and options which we believe may be useful for various types of crimes perpetrated against victims.As an inclusive, public institution of higher education, UCF offers the Mighty Knights classes to all students, staff, and faculty within the UCF community at no cost. A valid UCF affiliated e-mail account must be used when registering for this course. For classes held at UCF Downtown, Valencia students, faculty and staff will also be able to register with their Valencia email address.Registration is required. Please note, class sizes are small to ensure each participant is able to get the most from the class, so there is a limited amount of space available.
