With a focus on accessibility, partnership and diverse offerings, UCF Celebrates the Arts is a unique opportunity for the community to experience the creative side of UCF's innovative spirit.The festival will feature the cherished theatrical masterpiece of "Fiddler on the Roof," brought to life by Tony winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. - Apr 810:00 AMAdult First Aid/CPR/AED ClassThe RWC offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (approx. two-to-three hours long) and an instructor-led class skills session (approx. two hours long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session.Each participant who successfully completes the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate in Adult First Aid, CPR with AED. We will offer support for members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, persons on the autism spectrum, persons with cognitive disabilities, family members, as well as the Central Florida Community at large.Go into outer space in an entertaining musical program with the UCF Concert Band, as music education students serve as guides to the experience. The musicians and staff understand that people may need to get up, move about, or leave during the performance. Balloons, visual representations, and opportunities to move will be provided to support the enjoyment of music. Patrons are encouraged to bring hearing protection, fidget toys, manipulatives, cushions and support objects to the concert. The SVAD Distinguished Artist Series is an initiative that introduces the UCF students and community to professional and emerging contemporary artists in various fields of study.Artist Biography:Noelle Mason is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is about the subtle seductiveness of power facilitated by systems of visual and institutional control. Noelle has shown nationally and internationally in a variety of non-traditional spaces, galleries, and institutions including the National Museum of Mexican Art, Orlando Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She is the recipient of a Joan Mitchell Foundation Artist Grant, Jerome fellowship, Santo Foundation Individual Artist Grant, the Florida Prize for Contemporary Art and the Southern Prize. In 2004 Noelle was a resident at the Skowhegan school of Painting and Sculpture. She holds a BA in both theatre and fine arts from the University of California, Irvine and received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Noelle currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Art at the University of South Florida and is the Founding Director and Curator of Parallelogram Gallery in Tampa, FL.
