The program offers a mix of activities designed to maximize learning through interactive, individualized instruction with outstanding instructors. It is also designed to expose students to broader topics in computer science through the distinguished lectures series where researchers speak about computing from pragmatic and academic points of view. Although focused on computer science instruction, one of the most important benefits to the participants is the opportunity to interact with like-minded peers who share similar interests and talents and to make lifelong friendships. - Jun 10–14Camp Connect AdvancedCamp Connect Advanced is a week-long day camp designed to provide students with an in-depth, team-oriented STEM experience. Students work with a faculty member and are immersed in a discipline-specific research project or set of activities structured to encourage deeper learning, problem-solving, self-efficacy and collaboration. - Jun 24–28Camp Connect ICamp Connect I is a week-long day camp that introduces students to a variety of engineering disciplines such as electrical, computer, industrial, mechanical, aerospace, civil, environmental, construction and computer science. Students participate in activities, informative presentations, and exciting lab tours while getting a chance to meet and engage with our wonderful faculty and students. - Jul 7–192024 Competitive Programming Summer InstituteThe Summer Institute is an intensive two-week residential program for gifted and high-achieving students who have a background in computer science with an interest in algorithms and programming competitions. The program offers lectures on data structures and algorithms commonly seen in competitions, several practice competitions, problem reviews of those competitions, and personalized coaching from coaches and members of UCF's acclaimed programming team. The camp is specifically designed to help students improve their performance in contests such as USACO, TopCoder, CodeForces, and eventually, the ACM ICPC. Although the camp is academically focused on programming competitions, the program will also include social activities and a kick-off event Sunday, July 10. - Jul 8–12Camp Connect IICamp Connect II is a week-long day camp that provides students with a deeper hands-on experience within the various engineering fields. Students participate in hands-on activities, group projects, and presentations led by our own faculty and student organizations. Students may also visit various off-campus UCF labs.Students who previously completed Camp Connect I are invited to attend.
