- DescriptionFor faculty or staff: COIL, or Collaborative Online International Learning, is an innovative teaching approach that connects students and faculty from institutions in different countries to engage in joint academic projects. These collaborations are designed and facilitated by two faculty members from diverse cultural, linguistic, and geographical backgrounds, using online communication tools to co-develop and deliver integrated learning experiences. Participation in COIL projects offers several key benefits, including:
* Strengthening international partnerships between institutions and educators.
* Enhancing global perspectives in the curriculum by embedding international dimensions into course content.
* Fostering intercultural competence among students through teamwork in diverse, cross-cultural groups.
COIL provides a meaningful opportunity to internationalize the classroom without the need for physical mobility, making global learning more accessible and inclusive.
