- Oct 17–18Florida Defense Science and Technology Symposium 2024This event will take place at the UCF main campus Oct. 17-18, and is co-organized by UCF and USF. Faculty from all SUS universities will be in attendance. The aim is to bring together academic experts in Florida that are working in areas related to defense science and technology. The symposium is intended to benefit junior faculty or faculty that are new to DoD. The lesson is inspired by and based on the paper, Good Enough Practices in Scientific Computing (Wilson et al., 2017): "a set of good computing practices that every researcher can adopt, regardless of their current level of computational skill". These practices encompass data management, programming, collaborating with colleagues, organizing projects, tracking work and writing manuscripts. Prerequisites: There are no specific prerequisites.
