The UCF Wind Ensemble is comprised of approximately 50 of the finest wind and percussion students at the University of Central Florida. Performing literature of the highest caliber. the Wind Ensemble presents two to three concerts per semester at local, regional and national venues.

UCF has two Jazz Chamber Groups. These small groups perform music appropriate to the level of musicianship in the group. Repertoire and improvisation skills are the main focus of these groups. The Jazz Chamber groups perform frequently around Central Florida.

Students interested in programs within the School of Visual Arts and Design are encouraged to tour our art studios and other computer labs. Each tour begins with an information session presented by the SVAD advising team with an overview of each program and their requirements. Tours are conducted by faculty, staff, alumni and student ambassadors who are enrolled in an SVAD program. These sessions and tours are offered together and are scheduled on select Fridays (except for holidays). Each info session begins at 10 a.m. and tours begin at 11 a.m. in the Visual Arts Building. Out of Order | Let Down is a two-person exhibition by Kristen Letts Kovak & Grace Mikell Ramsey. This exhibition explores complex visual language of abstraction, naturalism, and fantasy to engage in dialogue on the nuances of female perseverance. Through visual storytelling, the two artists reflect and represent ongoing issues of female bodies, gender roles, societal expectations, and biases. The intuitive and formal experimentations engage visceral emotions and encourage active consideration and questioning of expectations and consequences for women through our lived experiences. Kovak's paintings investigate harmonious states of disequilibrium, reverberating between representation and abstraction. Her works reflect her experiences living with a hidden and unpredictable disability. She resists clarity and swims head-first into uncertain waters. The cumulative effect of her work is of vibrance and animation that welcome the viewer to embrace unexpected detours of creative discovery. Ramsey's paintings explore the complexities of nurturing in depictions of motherhood, pregnancy, and the female body--a reflection on intimacy, both its toils and possibilities through storytelling.
