- All dayOpen Water SCUBA CertificationAboutOutdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced scuba dive outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.Upon successful completion of this course and check-out dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.Cost The total cost of the certification is $320 with $40 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.ScheduleIn order for the participant to receive the SCUBA certification, they must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend encompasses classroom work and practice dives in the pool. Normally, the first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. For the second weekend, our instructor will pick either Saturday or Sunday to complete the Open Water Dives. These pieces can be rented through the Outdoor Adventure Center and is included in the course fee. This equipment is subject to availability. Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of theatre as you witness the early stages of development for these new productions.WORKSHOP: MOMENTS OF WONDER: STORIES THAT ENDUREDirected by Sage TokachA devised theatre project that brings together students with and without disabilities to create a theatrical piece about childhood and nostalgia inspired by participants' early memories and using the source material "Millions of Cats," the oldest picture book still in print. This project builds on the 2023 Building a Shared Home and 2024 Daring to Dream processes, but participants will create an original story.This workshop is supported by a Pabst Steinmetz Foundation Arts & Wellness Innovation Award and the Bert W.
