- 3:00 PM2hMighty Knights Self-DefenseOur instructors are UCF police officers who are experienced and knowledgeable on topics of personal safety and threat awareness. This course primarily focuses on topics of mindset, preparation and safety awareness, but also utilizes defensive tactics instructors, certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to demonstrate basic physical defense techniques. Our courses are designed to provide attendees with information, tactics and options which we believe may be useful for various types of crimes perpetrated against victims.As an inclusive, public institution of higher education, UCF offers the Mighty Knights classes to all students, staff and faculty within the UCF community at no cost. A valid UCF affiliated e-mail account must be used when registering for this course.Registration is required. Please note, class sizes are small to ensure each participant is able to get the most from the class, so there is a limited amount of space available. Past activities have included, Bingo, trivia, art night, comedy nights, etc.Modality / Location: In-person at the Student Lounge (between Amazon and Barnes & Noble).
