Little Knights Reading Challenge Color in a Knightro for every story you read, then have a parent or guardian submit the completion form for a certificate! - All day2024 Competitive Programming Summer InstituteThe Summer Institute is an intensive two-week residential program for gifted and high-achieving students who have a background in computer science with an interest in algorithms and programming competitions. The program offers lectures on data structures and algorithms commonly seen in competitions, several practice competitions, problem reviews of those competitions, and personalized coaching from coaches and members of UCF's acclaimed programming team. The camp is specifically designed to help students improve their performance in contests such as USACO, TopCoder, CodeForces, and eventually, the ACM ICPC. Although the camp is academically focused on programming competitions, the program will also include social activities and a kick-off event Sunday, July 10. - All dayGeo Explorer Summer InstituteThe Geo Explorer Summer Institute is a one-week program for rising sixth and seventh grade students interested in learning and applying new science technologies focused on geography, mapping, geospatial, virtual reality, augmented reality, and drone technologies through lab and fieldwork experiences at UCF.Students will engage in active learning connecting interactive lecture discussions, hands-on geospatial technology labs, collaborative research planning discussions, science communication discussions, personal and direct mentoring with a diverse group of UCF undergraduate and graduate students, and fieldwork on the UCF main campus.
