This multi-day event will help students:1. Review their myUCF portal for holds and to-dos, and teach students how to view the necessary steps to resolve these items and avoid delays in their ability to register. 2. Learn how to access and read their degree audit to better understand the requirements for completing their current declared major. 3. Assist students in adding classes to their shopping cart and setting up the "Swap" feature. 4. Educate students on the FloridaShines transient course option. 5. Know who their assigned Academic Success Coach (ASC) is and how to schedule an appointment with him/her. If assigned to a committee, how to schedule with an ASC. 6. - Oct 146:00 PMBasketball Officiating Class 2025The UCF Recreation and Wellness Center, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida Officials Association, will be offering the 29th Annual Basketball Officiating Class. This class is designed to train officials in the proper rules and mechanics needed to officiate at the high school level and beyond. Qualified officials will teach it from the local high school associations, various college conferences and professional leagues, including the NBA.When: Class begins Tuesday, August 26, and takes place from 6:00-10:00 PM, and will continue every Tuesday until October 21.Class Format: Class will meet each night in the Recreation and Wellness Center, Room 206. Rules, discussion, and hands-on training will take place in each class. Instructors and guest speakers will provide feedback on how to improve through on-court and video-taped critiques. FEE: The cost is $35.00 for UCF Students and $80.00 for non-UCF Students. Registration includes a whistle, a t-shirt, a class manual, and instruction. Parking is not included in this fee. *Only 26 spaces are available. Registration will continue until the class is filled. - Oct 147:30 PMFaculty Recital: Ben Diagram Duo, Tuba and PercussionBen Vasko, tubist and UCF professor, and Ben Goldman, percussionist and professor at Cecil College, bring their unique instrumentation, Ben Diagram Duo, to UCF campus for the first time. This faculty recital blends the sounds and performance styles of two distinct instruments and musical talents: Vasko on tuba and Goldman on steel drum. Experience an evening of music that showcases solo talent and celebrates collaboration.FREE AdmissionAbout the Bens:Ben Vasko serves on the faculties of the University of Central Florida and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He is the founder and director of the Orlando Youth Tuba Ensemble, a high school-aged chamber group dedicated to elevating the performance level of young tuba and euphonium players. Vasko has had the honor of performing with the Boston Symphony, the Boston Pops, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Jacksonville Symphony, the National Orchestra of Spain, and the Orlando Philharmonic. He tours with the Brookwood Trio and the Ben Diagram Duo, bringing unique instrumentations to stages and classrooms around the United States.Ben Goldman is a versatile drummer and percussionist who "demonstrates his aptitude to adapt." (Susan Frances, Jazz2Love). Ben built a private studio of 40 students and is the professor of percussion at Cecil College. When he is not teaching or performing locally, Ben performs as an associate artist with Rodney Marsalis and the Philadelphia Big Brass. Ben is a member of 6ix Wire, a Fusion/World Music ensemble in residence at The University of Delaware. In addition to touring nationally and internationally with these ensembles, Ben has been on faculty at several international music festivals. Ben led the Peace Drums Orchestra and performed in faculty ensembles at the Tefen Music Festival in Israel. At the 2017 and 2019 Master Players Festival hosted at the University of Delaware, Ben directed the World-Music ensembles and chaired the percussion division.

The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (most participants can complete this in approximately 2 hours) and an instructor-led class skills session (approximately two hours long).
