- Apr 610:00 AMYo, Ho, Ho, Let's Go!: Theater for the Very YoungThis event is part of UCF Celebrates the Arts 2024."Yo, Ho, Ho! Let's Go!" is a 30-minute adventure with a pirate on the high seas following a treasure map. Parrots, crabs, mermaids and more join the fun. Theatre for the Very Young is created specifically by Orlando Family Stage for 1 to 5-year-olds, and is an interactive, multi-sensory, developmentally accessible experience encouraging caregiver interaction and creative play. Yo! Ho! Ho! is written by Jennifer Adams-Carrasquilllo.Presented in partnership with Orlando Family Stage.One of Central Florida's favorite new traditions celebrates ten years! UCF Celebrates the Arts is an immersive and dynamic cultural extravaganza that fuses creativity, innovation and community engagement. This annual festival showcases the artistic prowess of UCF's faculty and students and invites the broader community to enjoy performances, exhibitions, presentations and interactive experiences. With a focus on accessibility, partnership and diverse offerings, UCF Celebrates the Arts is a unique opportunity for the community to experience the creative side of UCF's innovative spirit. - Apr 910:30 AMLet's Go Camping!: Theatre for the Very YoungThis event is part of UCF Celebrates the Arts 2024.Join best friends Happy Camper and Fuzzy on a camping adventure, told through music, puppetry and creative play! Let's Go Camping! is a 45-minute interactive play designed for 2 to 5-year-olds. Along the way, children will explore the wonders of nature, meet woodland friends and earn Junior Explorer badges. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll to the performance to accompany them on their journey.Let's Go Camping! was commissioned by the Jeanette M Gould Traveling Theater and was created by Nicole B. Adkins, Elizabeth Brendel Horn and Scottie Rowell. It was originally conceived to perform bedside for pediatric hospital patients. Let's Go Camping! premiered with UCF students in the Theatre for Young Audiences and Communities course in Spring 2024.One of Central Florida's favorite new traditions celebrates ten years!
