If the trip is full, you can register for the waitlist using the link above.Pre-Trip Date and Time: TBDTrip Description: This river offers deep amber colored water, often referred to as "sweet tea" water, dyed by the beautiful surrounding moss draped trees and is one of the most magical places in Florida. While canoeing, you may catch sight of the famous Florida Trail and the beautiful flora and fauna of this tranquil location. Whatever your canoeing experience level, our trip leaders will guide you through one of Florida's hidden gems!What's Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including camping gear, canoes, PFDs, etc) and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders. Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting.Meals will be provided on this trip; all menus will take dietary restrictions/preferences and allergies into account. Occasionally, groups will eat at restaurants while traveling. These meals are not included in your trip cost. - Nov 84:00 PMPegasus String QuartetThe Pegasus String Quartet is led by renowned violinist and UCF Professor Ayako Yonetani. Featuring Dr. Yonetani and three graduate students, the ensemble will present some of the most iconic music for string quartet.
- Nov 93:00 PMOpera Scenes PerformanceThis year's program includes scenes from Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore", Nicolai's "The Merry Wives of Windsor", Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel", Mozart's "Don Giovanni", and Verdi's "Nabucco".Every fall semester, the students enrolled in UCF's Opera Workshop class are assigned scenes to study, memorize, and prepare for this annual event. This year we have 16 students in the class - many of them are new students at UCF - and they are excited about singing/acting for you. We have four performances from which to choose - two on Sunday, November 9 and two on Saturday, November 15. The venue is on the main UCF campus in the "Rehearsal Hall Auditorium".The Rehearsal Hall Auditorium only seats about 90-100 guests, so please purchase your ticket(s) ahead of time to assure a seat. We will have spaces designated for wheelchair seating as well.
